Eugene Henri Cauchois was a 19th Century French painter known for his floral still lives painted in layers with loose, impressionistic strokes.
This painting was an exercise in applying Cauchois techniques to floral still life. It is part of my studies with David Jansen. The white and red flowers contrast nicely with the darker, toned background.
Painted in acrylic on 16" x 20" canvas, you can easily supply your own 16 x 20 frame.
